Management
Paul T. Conroy – President and CEO, Director
Founder of Westcore Energy Ltd. and has been its Chief Executive Officer, President and a director since March 2007. Over the past 40 years, Mr. Conroy has been involved in numerous resource companies holding the positions of Principal, Officer and Director.
Shane W. Shircliff – COO, Director
Currently Chief Operating Officer and director of Westcore Energy Ltd. (WTR: TSX.V) and a director for Kenna Capital Corporation (MMG.P: TSX.V). Mr. Shircliff was employed by Cameco Corporation from 1998 to 2011, most recently as Director of Corporate Development and Power Generation where he was responsible for growing the company’s uranium business through merger and acquisition activities.
Derek Batorowski – CFO, Director
Serves as Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Westcore Energy Ltd. Since 1993, he has been an independent consultant to the oil and gas industry, having held various financial positions with junior private and public companies.
George Jones – Director
Has been a director of Westcore Energy Ltd. since January 2009. George was a senior tax counsel for Revenue Canada Taxation from 1959 to 1964 and entered private practice in Victoria and subsequently established the firm now known as Jones Emery Hargreaves Swan. He was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1989 and has been recognized as one of the Province’s foremost authorities in tax litigation.
Ray Hodgkinson – Director
Has been a Director Westcore Energy Ltd. since March 2007. He has been a member of the Alberta Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysysicists of Alberta. Mr. Hodgkinson has served as an engineering consultant to the oil and gas industry and a director with several private and public resource industry companies.
Colin Taylor – Vice President, Corporate Development
Has served as Westcore Energy’s Vice President, Corporate Development since March 2011, a role he also fulfills for Bacanora Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:BCN). He is a director of Tembo Gold Corp. and is the founder of Valour Consulting Corp. which provides consulting service to the junior resource industry.
